N-Seoul Tower
N(Namsan)-Seoul Tower was the first multipurpose tower to be established in Korea, effectively incorporating a sightseeing observatory to a broadcasting tower. For the past 40 years, Namsan Seoul Tower has served as an iconic landmark of Korea and a representative tourist attraction. The tower's observatory offers an unobstructed view of the whole city, allowing it to become one of the all-time favorite attractions of Seoul citizens as well as domestic and international tourists. Another highlight of the tower is the Namsan Cable Car. The cable car began its operation in 1962, transferring passengers from the foot of the mountain to the base of the tower. Shuttle buses to the Namsan Cable Car from downtown Seoul are also available for visitors' convenience.
3
Samcheong-dong Street
It is said that Samcheong-dong was named from the story about the three "cheong" (Chinese character meaning clean) of the area, namely the mountain, water, and people. Another theory is that the origin of the region's name came from Samcheongjeon Hall where three tablets called "Taecheong," "Sangcheong," and "Okcheong," were set up based on Taoism. Samcheong-dong Street features a mixture of old scenes of hanok buildings with traditional beauty and modern scenes of galleries and cafés, creating a unique atmosphere. Visitors can feel the abundant cultural mood at every corner of the street through the art galleries, museums, antique shops, and quiet pathways.
4
Donglim Knot Workshop
Donglim Knot Workshop, established in April 2004 with support from the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is a space dedicated to the art of traditional Korean knot-making. The exhibition features a comprehensive collection of decorative knots, including norigae (ornamental pendants), belts, pouches, tassels, and decorative cords, as well as various materials such as threads, cords, and accessories used in knot craftsmanship.

Housed in a traditional hanok (Korean-style house), the exhibition space beautifully integrates historical artifacts, replicas, and modern reinterpretations, enhancing the timeless elegance of Korean knots.
5
Jongmyo Shrine
Jongmyo Shrine was the primary place of worship for kings and their queens throughout the Joseon dynasty. The shrine was built at the same time as Gyeongbokgung Palace, under the orders of King Taejo, the first king of the Joseon dynasty. The shrine is the site of the royal memorial service, called Jongmyo Jaerye, a national event that has been passed down since the Three Kingdoms period. During the Joseon dynasty, the ritual was held on the first month of a seasonal change and the twelfth month of the lunar year.
6
Gwangjang Market
Gwangjang Market was the first permanent market in Korea and continues to thrive as a popular tourist destination today. The name Gwangjang means "to gather from afar and keep altogether." The market began as a small trading center that brought in goods from nearby regions, but has now grown into a large wholesale market selling a variety of goods, including upholstery, imported goods, groceries, dried fish, traditional goods, and more. The most popular section of the market is the food street connected to the East Gate, North Gate 2, and South Gate 1. The food street caters to a wide range of patrons due to the plethora of menus available. It is also one of the most recommended tourist attraction for international travelers.

Jung was an amazing tour guide! Even with a large group, she made the experience feel personal and handled everyone's requests so smoothly. The food choices were absolutely delicious and felt super authentic. She also shared a lot of helpful travel tips for the rest of our trip. Thanks for a great evening, Jung! Excellent shopping area
Review for : From N Seoul Tower to Gwangjang Market: Weaving Tradition
EXCELLENT shopping area! The streets are lined with old-fashioned Hanok houses, but once you step inside the shops—WOW! High-end interiors, super comfortable to browse, and a really pleasant atmosphere. We had such a great time exploring! Prices can be a bit steep, but it’s definitely worth hopping around and enjoying the unique mix of tradition and modern luxury.

Perfect Spot
Review for : From N Seoul Tower to Gwangjang Market: Weaving Tradition
A great place to visit, especially if you're planning to head to Myeongdong Night Market afterward! You get to experience both a tram and cable car ride going up, with the option to walk either way.

Scenic but Dated Cable Car Experience
Review for : From N Seoul Tower to Gwangjang Market: Weaving Tradition
The cable car runs every 10 minutes, but it’s a bit old and slow. If you're up for it, there's also an option to hike up the mountain. At the top, you'll find a few restaurants (including the ever-present Starbucks), plus vending machines and stores selling locks if you want to leave a couple's lock. The facilities could use some updating, and keep in mind that the cable car is standing-room only—not ideal for those with mobility issues. That said, the view from the top gives you an incredible perspective on just how big Seoul really is!

Stunning Views from Seoul Tower
Review for : From N Seoul Tower to Gwangjang Market: Weaving Tradition
The view from the top of Seoul Tower was absolutely magnificent! I could’ve stared at the cityscape for hours. Definitely worth a visit!
